We seek an enthusiastic, organised, hardworking, forward thinking multi tasker who can develop relationships with school age children, their families, co workers and the community. Also supervising children's interactions to ensure they are positive, healthy and safe. The ECE will ensure that children are treated with respect and dignity whilst being a magnificent play worker that is dedicated to supporting the growth and healthy development of children that encourages an appreciation of learning and discovery.
This position will allow you to use your creative side, collaborate with co-workers and Director to create engaging and relevant monthly programming that fit the needs of the centre's children. This is done via observing, documenting, planning and implementing a range of age appropriate activities including arts, crafts, music, drama, outdoor activities, games, cooking free play etc to support the development of the children we serve.
Hours:
The position requires staff to work
Monday - Friday, Part Time PM only
Qualifications:
level 1, 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator
Please indicate your Alberta childcare staff certification level when applying for this position.
First aid with CPR
Police check including vulnerable sector check
Wages:
Wages are dependent on qualification and experience.

About us:
Braeside is a fully established non-profit school age program in Braeside, SW Calgary. We offer service to 60 families with children aged 5 to 12 years.
We are based in Braeside Community Association and have full use of the community association building and grounds.
Care includes morning, lunchtime and after school.
Also professional development days, spring break, winter break and a full summer program.
We believe in providing a healthy environment that promotes active minds and active children that participate in pro social behaviour.
We constantly striving to build our program and Braeside School Age Care encourages staff to take initiative and introduce new ideas and skills to our existing program.
Team members are encouraged attend and participate in professional development, staff meetings, staff awareness sessions, community events etc.
Staff must adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations, Accreditation Standards, Health and Safety and internal policies and procedures.
