We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and supporting children's individual needs. The teacher will work closely with colleagues, parents, and specialists to promote a positive learning experience for all children, including those with disabilities or special needs. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued to support diverse student populations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
Support social-emotional development by promoting positive interactions among children.
Assess individual student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure curriculum consistency.
Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences where appropriate.
Manage classroom behavior using effective communication skills and organizational techniques.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with disabilities or special education requirements.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education practices.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development, and classroom management techniques.
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse learners.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
Ability to utilize computer operation skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication tools.
Leadership qualities and time management skills necessary for supervising young learners effectively.
