P.R.Y.D.E. Learning Centres is a non-profit, community-based child care organization. We offer programs ranging from Infant to School age at various locations across the Durham Region.

Position: Early Childhood Assistant

Location: Pickering/Ajax /Whitby/Oshawa/Newcastle/Uxbridge

Status: Occasional Relief/Casual/Supply and Contract Enhanced Staffing

Hourly Rate: $19.00/hour plus $2/hour in a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant for regular hours worked

Candidates must be able to work between the hours of 6:30am - 6:00pm. Shifts may include split shifts.

What we need from you:

A passion for working with children

Strong interpersonal skills to gain the trust and respect of children and their parents

Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

Second Language is an asset

Demonstrated skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment

The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Experience in planning and implementing programs

1 - 3 years experience working in the child care field is preferred

A current (less than 6 months old) Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector Search

CPR / First Aid Level C Certification
