Registered Early Childhood Assistant(RECA)

Responsibilities

Daily Reporting and Record Keeping - Attendance, Allergy, Medication, Communication Logs Assist in planning an engaging curriculum based on children's interests Assist in the educational and social development of children under the direction and guidance of Lullaboo, and classroom teachers Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary Plan programs and curriculum in accordance with "How Does Learning Happen?" Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms Manage and maintain an orderly classroom - follow cleaning schedules and room routines Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

Specifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents Ability to utilize with iCare system for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations Supportive attitude, and ability to provide emotional, physical, or behavioral support to children Highly Organized, with a strong attention to detail Strong collaboration and team player Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom Strong problem solving skills Proactive in relation to health and safety

Qualifications

Educational background in a related field is considered an asset Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months) Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

Pay: $19.20-$21.20 per hour
