, you are responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable transportation and handling of goods. In this physically demanding role, you will operate commercial vehicles and various material handling equipment--including lift trucks, counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and walk ramps--to execute timely deliveries and unload cargo securely. Your duties also include performing thorough pre-trip inspections, maintaining accurate daily logs, and adhering to all relevant safety procedures and regulations. PRINCPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver products precisely and punctually to company locations in a safe manner.
Uphold a professional demeanor and confidently represent the company in all interactions.
Accurately unload and deliver goods to company sites in alignment with designated schedules.
Operate company vehicles and a range of material-handling equipment, including:
1. Electric walkie stackers (B.T.)
2. Counterbalance forklifts
3. Reach trucks
4. Hand trucks, pallet jacks, and walk ramps
Build strong relationships through friendly, attentive service.
Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
Always operate company vehicles responsibly and with safety as the top priority.
Maintain accurate and timely completion of the vehicle operator's log each day.
Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and relevant laws, such as the Traffic Act (Highway City).
Arrive on time for shifts and dressed in full uniform, including steel-toe safety boots.
Execute additional duties as required to support operational needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
DZ Driver's License
- valid and in good standing, and drivers abstract report.
Lift Truck Certifications
for
1. Reach Trucks
2. Electric Walkie Stackers (B.T.)
3. Counterbalance Forklifts
The role requires a minimum of
3 years of experience
as a DZ Truck Driver and Lift Truck Operator (
preferably in a food manufacturing or distribution environment)
to reflect industry-specific handling standards and hygiene protocols.
