Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight during transport.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials. Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts for loading and unloading tasks. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Experience in automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle functionality. Prior experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment is desirable. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
