We are looking for a skilled and dependable DZ Courier Driver to join our Client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods, delivering exceptional service to their customers. You'll play a key part in upholding our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction while operating within a fast-paced distribution environment.
This position involves operating both DZ straight trucks and Ford Transit vans, assisting with loading and unloading, and serving as the final touchpoint in the delivery process. You'll also act as a brand ambassador and extension of our sales team, building strong customer relationships and representing our organization's values at every stop.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
Operate DZ straight trucks and Ford Transit vans safely and efficiently
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain detailed driving logs, including mileage, delivery details, and hours of service
Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers
Loading & Unloading
Load and unload freight using manual and powered equipment
Ensure products are handled with care and secured properly
Assist warehouse staff with material movement as needed
Safety & Compliance
Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures
Maintain compliance with all provincial and federal transportation laws
Adhere to company driver break policies and safety expectations
Customer Service & Brand Representation
Represent our client in a professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner
Serve as an extension of our sales team by building and maintaining strong final-mile relationships
Handle customer inquiries and concerns respectfully and efficiently
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our client's values and service commitment
Qualifications
Licensing & Certification
Valid Ontario DZ-class driver's license
Experience operating both straight trucks and Ford Transit vans
Valid forklift certification for at least one of the following: reach truck, sit-down counterbalance, or stand-on pallet rider
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience with a proven safety record
Strong knowledge of local and regional road networks
Excellent command of the English language -- both verbal and written
Effective time management and ability to meet tight delivery schedules
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong problem-solving skills -- able to think quickly and make sound decisions when facing unexpected delivery or route issues
Physically fit; able to lift and move up to 50 lbs

Copy of valid driver's license
Copy of 3-year driver history report (MVR)
Proof of at least 3 years of commercial driving experience with a similar vehicle
Letter of experience from a previous employer's insurance provider indicating the type of vehicle operated

Schedule: Monday to Friday shifts beginning from 5 am (primarily day shift, with occasional extended hours depending on volume)
