We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to operate heavy-duty trucks for transporting materials to various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role is essential for supporting construction, mining, or industrial projects by ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials.
Responsibilities
Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts if necessary.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
Perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on trucks and heavy equipment as needed, including automotive repairs when applicable.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1) with a clean driving record.
Experience operating dump trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards related to commercial driving.
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks.
Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
Prior experience in freight transportation or construction industries is preferred.
