Makkinga Contractors is actively seeking applications for a

Triaxle Dump Truck Driver

to join our team for immediate hire in Thunder Bay.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles Valid DZ driver's licence with clean driving record and clear CVOR driver abstract Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various heavy equipment
Responsibilities:

Haul aggregates using a triaxle dump truck with the ability to load using a loader or an excavator Complete pre-trip inspections and general maintenance; reporting defects promptly Ensure load security in accordance with regulations Maintain accurate documentation and use of electronic logging devices Comply with all M.T.O. regulations Prioritize safety and adhere to company safety protocols Maintain clear and professional communication with supervisors, team members, and clients via radio, phone, and email Work independently and collaboratively with crews on job sites
Additional Information:

Shift flexibility may be required: long days, night shifts, and weekends Travel may be required within Northwestern Ontario, outside of Thunder Bay

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
