and Duties



Under the direction of a Chef, manages the operation of a kitchen to produce the highest quality products and present them attractively and efficiently. Work is performed according to

Imago standards and procedures but there is some latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Successful performance requires leadership skills in the kitchen and full cooperation with the management team and service staff.

Key Tasks:



Manages, motivates and mentors all kitchen staff. Ensures that they fully understand the requirements for preparation and presentation of all items on the menu and are able to execute their assigned tasks.

Participates in the planning and modification of food menus.

Monitors food inventories and takes appropriate corrective action when required.

Ensures the continued cleanliness of the kitchen and associated facilities; develops cleaning schedules and assigns work to various members of the kitchen staff.

During any given shift prepares any and all menu items and ensures the quality control of all items prepared for service.

Encourages health and safety awareness in

Imago Restaurants employees by acting in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Imago-specific safety regulations, following safe work procedures, report unsafe acts/conditions, injury or illness immediately, brings health and safety issues to the attention of the Health and Safety Committee.

Adheres to duties of workers outlined in Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
