Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and finishing techniques, with a keen eye for detail and quality. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that drywall surfaces are properly finished and ready for painting or other treatments. This role requires proficiency in various finishing methods and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Apply tape, mud, and other finishing materials to drywall surfaces to create a smooth finish. Sand and polish finished surfaces to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to ensure project timelines are met. Perform caulking around edges and joints to enhance durability and aesthetics. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Assist with other maintenance person tasks as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction fields is preferred. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus. Basic carpentry skills are beneficial for this role. Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential for successful project execution. Previous maintenance person experience will be considered an asset.
