Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Drywall Taper/Finisher

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and professional appearance. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Apply joint compound to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners for a seamless finish. Sand surfaces to achieve a smooth texture and prepare for painting or further finishing. Install corner beads and tape as needed to enhance durability and aesthetics. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements. Repair any imperfections in drywall installations to ensure high-quality results. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times. Receive and report work progress using smartphones daily.

Requirements

Minimum

3 years of drywall taping/finishing experience

Strong knowledge of finishing techniques and tools Ability to work on residential and commercial job sites Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable working with ladders, lifts, and other equipment Strong attention to detail and high-quality standards Good communication in both written and spoken English

A valid Work Permit or eligibility to work in Canada (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$31.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
