Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Estimator

to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, pricing strategies, and project management principles to support successful project execution. The Estimator will play a key role in securing new work and upholding the company's reputation for precision, professionalism, and reliability.

This position will

start on a part-time basis

, with the opportunity to transition into a

full-time role

upon demonstrating consistent progress and strong performance. All work can be performed

remotely from home

, but candidates must be

on-call during standard working hours

and

available for Teams or Zoom meetings

, whenever needed.

Responsibilities



Prepare detailed cost estimates for

Drywall, Demolition, and Paint

projects using industry-standard software such as

Onscreen Takeoff

and

QuickBid

. Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals. Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify scope and negotiate terms. Assist in developing bid strategies that align with company goals while remaining competitive. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation. Support project management teams during the bidding process and throughout project execution when needed. Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new estimating technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications



Minimum 3 years of proven experience

in

Commercial and Multi-Family Residential Drywall, Demolition, and Paint estimating

. Proficiency in

Onscreen Takeoff

,

QuickBid

, and

Microsoft Excel

MUST

. Familiarity with other estimating platforms (e.g.,

PlanSwift

,

Stack

) is a strong asset. Solid knowledge of construction processes, materials pricing, and labor costs. Strong negotiation and communication skills for working effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Ability to accurately interpret complex drawings and technical specifications. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure precise, profitable estimates.
