Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard software. The Estimator will play a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining competitive pricing strategies.

Duties

Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates Build and maintain data databases for pricing and cost analysis Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure competitive yet profitable bids Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing terms Prepare and present detailed bid packages within specified deadlines Assist in project management tasks related to cost control and budget tracking Conduct market research to stay updated on industry pricing trends and material costs Support the development of project schedules and resource planning

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating residential and commercial with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously Knowledge of pricing strategies within the construction industry Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams Ability to analyze complex data and develop accurate cost estimates Relevant degree or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
