Drywall Boarder And Taper
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Boarder/Taper to join our team.
We need this individual to be able to perform both trades properly.
The Taper will be responsible for preparing walls and ceilings for painting by taping and finishing drywall joints and seams. Duties - Measure, cut, and apply tape over joints to prepare the wall surface for painting - Apply joint compound to seal joints between plasterboard panels - Smooth out imperfections and rough areas with trowels - Sand surfaces after the compound has dried - Repair cracks and holes in walls - Work with construction blueprints to determine the layout of the drywall Experience - Previous experience as a Taper or in a similar role is preferred - Proficiency in drywall installation, caulking, and finishing techniques - Knowledge of construction painting processes - Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus - Experience in carpentry or as a maintenance person would be beneficial

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
