Driving Instructor - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY / TRAINING PROVIDED


Young Drivers of Canada is looking to hire Driving Instructors. If you are the type of person that loves to help others by teaching new skills and love to watch others succeed this job is for you.

POSITION


Driving Instructors must have a love for driving, and the ability to communicate effectively. Teaching or previous coaching experience is an asset.
The Instructor Training Course provides all the knowledge and resources to ensure that new Instructors are in the best position to succeed on the job.
This position starts with teaching practical on-road driving lessons.

QUALIFICATIONS



Must be a resident of Ontario and hold a current Driver's Licence. Must have been at the full "G" level for 5 years You own a vehicle 5 years old or less. If the vehicle is older but in good condition both inside and out, YD will examine the vehicle to determine if it's acceptable. Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving record. No criminal record. Instructor's license - This is acquired through the Young Drivers Instructor Training Course. Training Course is 4 Weeks in duration from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Out of town training, to be negotiated with the cost of training. Course value of $3500.

REQUIREMENTS



Must have own vehicle that is approved by YD. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to follow the Young Drivers curriculum. Friendly, positive and outgoing. The ability to be comfortable with students. Soft skills required to be successful in this position include empathy, understanding, compassion, patience, etc.

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS



Mandatory participation in the instructor training course. Monday-Friday for 4 weeks from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Typically, YD Instructors work 5 days per week. 4 days during the week. 2 - 3 days would have to be the afternoon shift, 1 day on weekends. Flexible scheduling options to accommodate your work life balance. Since many of our clients are High School students, our Driving Instructors need to be available to work afternoons & evenings until 9:00 pm on weekdays and one weekend day (your choice).

YOUNG DRIVERS INSTRUCTORS COMPENSATION



Competitive pay rates hourly + km allowance. Advancement into a Classroom/Virtual Teacher role, Instructor Training Course Trainer, YF Fleet Trainer. Flexible schedule. Great support team.
Instructors are paid based on lessons delivered. There is the possibility of greater earnings if the Instructor is willing to pick up extra lessons when needed.
