Job Description

As a Drain Cleaning Technician at Boulet Sewer and Drain Ltd., you will be responsible for diagnosing, cleaning, and repairing drains and sewer lines for residential and commercial properties. You will be the face of our company, delivering top-notch service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You must be able to handle a range of tools and equipment, perform troubleshooting, and communicate effectively with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Drain Cleaning & Maintenance:

Perform professional cleaning, maintenance, and repair services for clogged or blocked drains, sewers, and pipes.

Inspection & Diagnosis:

Use specialized tools (e.g., drain cameras) to identify blockages and assess the condition of drainage systems.

Customer Service:

Communicate clearly with customers about their drainage issues and explain recommended solutions. Provide accurate estimates and explain job scope and pricing.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues with drains, sewers, and related systems. Use your skills to recommend solutions that fit customer needs.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure that work is performed in accordance with industry standards, safety protocols, and local regulations.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and successful job completion. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Ensure that company trucks and equipment are well-maintained and stocked with necessary tools for each job.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience as a Drain Cleaning Technician or similar plumbing background is preferred. If you are new to the field, we are open to training motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with drain cleaning tools such as augers, hydro-jetting machines, and drain cameras is an asset.

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Customer-Focused:

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. You will be interacting directly with clients and representing Boulet Sewer and Drain Ltd.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to diagnose issues and recommend solutions quickly and effectively.

License & Certification:

A valid driver's license is required. Plumbing or drain-cleaning certifications are a plus, but not mandatory.

Team Player:

Willingness to work collaboratively with other technicians and staff.
