Drafting Technician
Our client is looking for a Drafting Technician to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating documentation for our installation team. The projects you will be working on are a variety of audio-visual and control systems, including video walls, large sound systems, performance lighting, and control systems.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Complete a wide variety of drawing types:
- AV schematics, Locations, Elevations, Rack Layout, Conduit Risers, Input Plate Diagrams, Custom Mounting Solutions
- Communicate with key stakeholders regarding requirements, concerns, and status
- Adapt to changing project requirements
- Maintain an organized file system for storing relevant documents
- Complete as-builts from received drawings
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Keep up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies.
- Pass a security clearance as needed
- 5 years of general AV experience in a paid or volunteer role
- Experience using Microsoft Visio
- Experience using DTools - System Integrator
- Experience using AutoCAD LT will be considered an asset
- Experience reading architectural and structural drawing sets
- Committed to continual learning
