Job Description

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Fabrication and Material Processing Coordinator, the Industrial Drafting Technician is responsible for developing computerized drawings and coordinating the activities related to the steel parts inventory and preparation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create Engineering Drawings:

Develop basic engineering drawings and specifications for layout, assembly, and welding operations using the

SOLIDWORKS

3D CAD software.

CAD Drawings & 3D Scanning:

Utilize

Faro 3D scanning technology

to create accurate CAD drawings.

CNC Table Coordination:

Assist in coordinating the daily operations and activities of the CNC plasma cutting table.

Steel Plate Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage steel plate inventory usage.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Design

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in the Industrial Drafting field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

SolidWorks 3D CAD Software

.

Strong

report writing skills

and

advanced computer skills

.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver's license.

Any combination of education and experience will be considered.

Rotation:

Monday to Friday Locally Based or option of a

2/2 FIFO (Fly-In/Fly-Out) rotation
