Summary



In collaboration with the engineering team, prepare scaffolding plans as well as drafts and sketches of scaffolding and parts solutions in support of the sales and project teams. Assist the engineer in project management. Evaluate the material needed to complete the various projects.

Requirements



Education: Degree in building drafting or Degree in civil engineering or in a related discipline Experience: 2-5 years relevant to the construction field as a draftsman, estimator, or project manager with relevant drafting skills. Speaking English, both written and spoken. Speaking French is an asset Good knowledge of AutoCAD drawing software and SketchUp. Other 2D and 3D drawing software is an asset; Good knowledge of the MS-Office suite.
Any combination of education and experience deemed relevant will also be considered.

Tasks and responsabilities



Design and develop 3D project plans for scaffold structures from freehand sketches, verbal instructions, or various data. The drawings usually contain detailed instructions for the execution of the work as well as photographs. Detailing and translating the data of the projected work in a concrete manner in accordance with the standards in force and the requirements of the project. Develops pre-project and in-project material lists Drawing sketches of scaffolding parts. Participate in the design of projects: evaluate the relevance of using certain parts, suggest the use of different parts, verify measurements, etc; Manage files: make copies of drawings to representatives, send documents by email to customers, record them into inhouse file management system. As needed, develop "as-built" drawings. Review and obtain approval of plans from the client for the project department. Any other related duties as determined by his/her supervisor.
