Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for construction drawings with proper material assignments and machining using Microvellum software. You will require knowledge of materials used in fabrication along with their specifications. You must be able to develop 2D and 3D AutoCAD shop drawings from architectural and interior design drawings for submittal and eventually construction. We work as a collaborative team to ensure the best solutions are obtained.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to create 2D and 3D construction drawings using Microvellum. Conceptualize, design and develop 2D and 3D models incorporating all phases of a project, from pre-design to fabrication and installation. What gets drafted and engineered is what gets fabricated. Assign proper materials to products with attention to thickness, sheet sizes and grain/pattern directions. Identify potential design limitations and/or effects of same on architectural designs. Prepare approval drawings to support the project team. Communicate project status updates - adjust activities as needed to meet project
timelines.

Prepare production information (i.e. drawings, cut lists, etc) providing the necessary information for programming, machining and assembly operations. Participate in both virtual(Microsoft Teams) and in person meetings. Utilize our ERP software to ensure schedules, deadlines are met and budgets are followed. Work with the team to develop and ensure that company standards are met.
Continuous improvement and change are expected.

Skills Required:

Competent knowledge in both the production & manufacturing methodologies of joinery and millwork design. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings. Have a familiarity with multiple material types used in manufacturing custom cabinetry and their specifications, sizes and availability. Proficiency with Microvellum software. Must have proven skills in the development of floor plans, elevations and all necessary sections and details. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Willing to work when required to meet deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision. Knowledge of AWMAC requirements is preferred. Hands on experience in producting cabinetry and millwork is preferred but not required. Post secondary education in related field is preferred but not required.
Hours of work are 7:30-4:30 M-Thurs, Friday 7:30-2:00.

Remote candidates will be considered. Ability to have in person meetings is preferred.

Salary:

To be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
