.Successful candidates will be eligible to work remotely from their home office. Residence in Calgary, Alberta, or in proximity to project sites, is not required.
Key Technical Requirements:
Produce data and other digital files for field crew layout
Analysis and interpretation of civil, architectural, and structural plans and data sets
Volume and area calculations based on surface to surface comparisons
Quality control and data processing of raw field data
Produce technical Explanatory notes and sketches requesting clarification or additional data from engineers
Create deliverables as requested
Ability to handle deadlines and provide timely answers
Critical thinking and problem solving
Flexibility in schedule to assist evenings and weekends when required
Point cloud management and calculations
Train other colleagues and follow up with their development
Qualifications:
Five years of related experience in a CAD/Surveying/Construction Field
Deep knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Understanding of construction surveying practices (slope staking, utilities staking, earthworks quantity takeoff, road Building, bridge elements, surface models etc.)
Knowledge of excel and ability to utilize it to create custom forms
