Overview

We're looking for a Dog Handler & Transport Driver to join our small, dedicated team at Country Canine Care. This is a long-term, year-round position, and the position is available immediately! Ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs, thrives in an active, outdoor environment, and values responsibility and reliability. Your love for animals and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure that both pets and their owners have a positive experience at our daycare facility

Skills:

Strong customer service skills Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 40lbs) as needed into the van A genuine love for animals Team player mentality with the ability to work solo Mature, reliable, and responsible individual Learns quickly and follows directions with attention to detail Calm and confident when working with dogs and unexpected situations Good judgment and practical problem-solving skills Genuine passion for working with dogs and understanding their behavior Comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Responsibilities:

Safely pick up and drop off dogs from their homes Keeping owner information confidential Drive and work in all weather conditions and road conditions year round Be familiar with the local area and know your way around the valley Supervise and engage dogs during playtime and rest periods Maintain a clean, safe and positive environment Communicate clearly with teammates and clients

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:30am start with a 3:00-4:00pm finish (day ends when last dog is dropped off) Hours may be flexible for the right person This may be a position shared between two part time employees or as one full time employee with the possibility of also adding on a part time employee
Pay:

$18-$20 per hour to start, depending on experience May be hired as an employee or independent contractor, based on the arrangement and status of applicant
