You’re organized, adaptable, and personable, with a keen attention to detail – even with fast-paced, high-volume work. As one of the first people the public encounters through the Patient Service Centre (PSC), you’re the “face” of Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL). Your communication and interpersonal skills will help create a positive, professional first impression as you greet and triage patients, providing a high level of customer service. You can quickly and accurately enter test orders from various requisitions, as well as perform general administrative duties. With a high level of precision, you can meet deadlines and benchmarks following established policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety of customers, coworkers, and yourself. You are self-led and accountable for your own actions and learn from mistakes. Comfortably moving between worlds, you can develop positive, effective, and collaborative working relationships within a team environment. With a positive attitude, personal leadership, and a commitment to promoting an inclusive, positive, and respectful workplace during all shifts you might work between 0630 – 2100, we know you’ll make a great addition to the team. APL is the new, wholly-owned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services (AHS) and is ready to deliver high-quality, responsive diagnostic lab services to Albertans as a part of the provincial healthcare system. You’ll make a difference by ensuring laboratory data is correctly documented, organized, and protected, and put clients and customers at ease while they get critical information they need about their own health.
