Job Description

Ghent Landscape is looking for a full-time experienced Dispatcher to join our team. You will be working closely with the operations team to help with various field coordination and truck/asset dispatch. Salary: starting $46,000-$56,000/yr, dependent on experience Benefits: Group benefits available after a probationary period, RRSP matching program Responsibilities

• Coordinate between various divisions to efficiently dispatch various trucks to service field crews
• Coordinate tasks such as floating equipment, delivering materials, dropping or picking up bins, slinging material, craning materials/equipment and watering
• Create a daily schedule for each truck driver and communicate with them throughout the day about any necessary changes
• Track production and plan routes to maximize efficiency
• Review invoices and billing for services
• Ensure drivers have work during slower periods by contracting out our services
• Assist operations team with various office and administrative tasks when time allows
• Compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements
• Other duties will be assigned as required

Desired Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years of dispatch experience is preferred
• Must be highly organized and a strong communicator
• Understanding of landscape construction and the construction industry is a very strong asset
• Must understand capabilities and limitations of various trucks/pieces of equipment in order to dispatch the most appropriate assets
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Must obtain WHMIS, Working at Heights and Occupational Health and Safety Awareness training
