Duties & Responsibilities:


Coordinate the dispatch of owned and 3rd party delivery equipment and driver personnel from the Burnaby yard location to various project sites around the lower mainland
In coordination with the yard superintendent, process requests from project superintendents and forepeople to ensure the correct materials arrive on job sites when required
Determine availability of required resources and establish the appropriate logistics for delivery
Prepare daily crewing & truck dispatch reports confirming the resource allocation for the following shift
Schedule and communicate with assigned delivery personnel to ensure they are in the correct place at the correct time, and that site access and site contact instructions are understood
Record, track, report, and coordinate delivery/pick-up of equipment, small tools (rental items), and consumable materials (PPE, supplies, etc.) based on requisitions from superintendents and forepersons
Participate in weekly Resource Operations Coordination meetings to provide feedback and gather knowledge to assist the business units in resource planning
Track all resource requests and allocation using B2W Schedule software (training provided)
Communicate professionally with our trusted vendors, NorLand's Equipment and Stores departments, and all other stakeholders
Contribute to the NorLand Equipment and Logistics team in maintaining a cooperative and supportive environment that delivers excellence in all areas of project operational support
Promote a work environment where the safety and health of all employees, subcontractors, and individuals on NorLand sites is paramount


Qualifications & Skills:


Confident communicator - good communication will be the biggest requirement of this role
Exceptional organizational skills utilizing a process-based approach scheduling
Able to work to tight deadlines, with frequent interruptions and continuous levels of communication
Excellent inter-personal skills (respectful, sociable and personable)
Proficient with MS Office Software
Experience with B2W Operations Software and working in a complex construction environment is an asset (training on the job available)
Experience creating purchase orders/requisitions an asset
Prepared to work in high pressure situations
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Working hours from 7am - 4pm Monday - Friday, with availability by phone for emergencies from 6:30am - 5pm
May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business


Compensation:


The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $70-$85K per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
