Duties

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques. Ensure all items are clean, organized, and stored appropriately for easy access by kitchen staff. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling food items safely and following hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing dishwashing duties to prevent delays in service. Follow health and safety regulations to uphold sanitation standards within the kitchen environment. Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures as required.

Skills

Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in food handling and sanitation practices. Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and food service is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Good teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items such as pots or trays when necessary. Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and safety protocols related to food service environments. Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
