We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring that each dish meets our restaurant's specifications and exceeds customer expectations.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the flow of service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality meal preparation.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Participate in menu development by providing input on seasonal dishes or specials based on available ingredients.
Experience
Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably in a restaurant environment.
Culinary experience or formal training is an advantage but not mandatory.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is required.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
