OverviewAn exciting leadership role exists for a total rewards professional looking to help amplify the work of a dedicated team of experts. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, the Director, Total Rewards and People Technology is responsible for development and implementation of WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s total rewards programs and people technology systems including the direction of the Total Rewards and People Technology team within the People and Culture Division.As a member of the Divisional management team, the Director provides leadership and direction to ensure the effective delivery of Total Rewards and People Technology services including the implementation of pension and total reward strategies, business plans and policies and the delivery of customer focused service.   • Leads the Total Rewards and People Technology Department, ensuring effective delivery of compensation, benefits, and people technology services to People and Culture and management staff.
  • Participates in divisional strategic and business planning, policy determination, and decision-making processes, contributing to the overall management of the Division.
  • Guides the departmental management team in formulating operational plans, setting priorities, and implementing business plan initiatives, while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensures consistent administration of People and Culture Division policies and practices, maintaining regular contact with employer groups such as PSEC, CCEA, and HRMA.
  • Advises and assists People and Culture Partners and managers on total rewards matters such as salary administration, job evaluation, benefit administration, and entitlement.
  • Serves as a key member of the pension management team, supporting, informing, and guiding the pension committee on relevant matters.
  • Oversees the development and administration of job evaluation processes for non-unionized employees and leads initiatives related to job evaluation for unionized employees.
  • Manages financial resources within the allocated budget, planning the annual departmental budget, and ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Represents WorkSafeBC with various external stakeholders and interest groups, promoting the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategies and objectives.

Your background and experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resource management or a related field
  • Considerable experience in a senior HR role (10-12 years) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
