Overview

The Director Supply Chain Planning & Analytics will drive improvements in our Supply Chain throughput, space utilization, asset optimization and capacity management. The Director will lead a team of analysts and planners to identify opportunities to increase operational effectiveness in Supply Chain over various time horizons and then guide the broader Supply Chain organization and relevant stakeholders to realize the benefits.

As a data driven, results oriented leader with strong financial acumen and above average collaboration and change management skills, the incumbent will be able to provide sound recommendations on how to evolve our supply chain network and optimize our capacity on a national scale.

The Director provides thought leadership on topics such as enterprise network design, optimization opportunities to balance service and cost, and the management of daily planning processes that create the work for our transportation & distribution teams.


  • Build a roadmap for the enterprise network strategy planning and implementation to enable and mature our transformation from design to finish.
  • Identify and create new end to end supply chain transformation opportunities and lead the implementation of supply chain business operations. Specific focus on capacity assessments across the entire supply chain, RSC & transportation networks to optimize utilization and meet customer demands
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for product flow across the network as needed
  • Setup infrastructure and coach team members to own and drive process design, process strategy and project management for all transformation related initiatives and effectively deliver on key objectives.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership across all stakeholders to harmonize requirements, lead the implementation of solutions, and facilitate change management projects that require network analysis, configuration or redesign. Ensure the minimization of the customization of solutions and advise on opportunities for standardization.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, and support organizational change management with impacted business areas.
  • Continuously identify and develop opportunities for improving reporting processes and analytics while increasing data transparency.

Job Requirements
  • An Undergraduate Degree in engineering or related discipline and a proven track record in multiple facets of Supply Chain along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the grocery industry.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and organizational skills to effectively lead new initiatives across the organization.
  • A self starter with high professional standards for service, performance and accountability and broad perspective that is able to contextualize Supply Chain opportunities within the larger organizational environment.
  • Experience building and scaling teams at multiple levels through coaching, influencing and motivating, while fostering and developing effective working relationships within the team and across the broader organization.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset with the willingness to initiate, plan and implement, while also being able to challenge conventional thinking when required
  • Proven ability to drive change management projects by utilizing solid planning and analysis skills coupled with the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
