Our Consumer Servicing organization is in search of a Director of Engineering, Servicing Platforms. This role is crucial in leading the engineering group responsible for the foundational technology that drives customer success and satisfaction after their purchase. You will collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders across product, operations, and legal to ensure the platform is reliable, compliant, and scalable. This requires thoughtful leadership across a broad scope of charters, all aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction: you will oversee the self-service and agent-facing systems that empower customers to manage their accounts, resolution flows that turn experiences like disputes and refunds into opportunities to build trust, and our credit reporting platform- a function core to our customers' financial success.

What You'll Do

• Own a portfolio of teams and products in service of a key company objective. You will be accountable for its alignment, inspection, and ultimately, the delivery of results through your management team.
• Develop and articulate a multi-year strategy for your organization, proactively charging the territory and creating alignment with partners in Product, Design, and across the business to ensure your vision drives company-level goals.
• Build your team and the next generation of leaders at Affirm with a people-first approach. This means driving the full talent lifecycle while creating a culture of care, psychological safety, and continuous growth for every member of your team.
• Ensure the technical health of your organization's systems. You will champion a culture that balances operational excellence with the pace of innovation, and be accountable for the quality and availability of your services.
• Proactively manage and cultivate the health of your organization, ensuring that delivering results does not come at the expense of your team's long-term well-being.
• Act as a key voice in the broader engineering organization. You'll build strong, collaborative relationships with fellow leaders to resolve complex misalignments and influence the technical direction of the company through close partnership.

• You have deep technical credibility. You can command the respect of a senior engineering team and are capable of driving accountability for architecture, system health, and software quality.
• You think like a business owner. You have strong operational and business acumen, with experience in organizational design and prioritizing investments to get the highest leverage.
• You communicate with clarity and conviction, and understand that influence is built on strong relationships. You can build the partnerships needed to get things done in a collaborative environment.

Pay Grade - T
Equity Grade - 11
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
CAN base pay range per year: $238,000 - $298,000

Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office.
