You

• Are an excellent communicator with the ability to illustrate complex concepts effectively and work collaboratively
• Have strong analytical and numerical skills
• Are results and deadline-driven in a high volume, fast-paced team environment
• Are well-versed in acquisition and project/development financing, along with having an intuitive understanding of development proformas
• Have experience in real estate valuation and excellent underwriting skills

You will

• Work and liaise with people across the company including acquisition, development, construction, accounting, asset management and leasing in order to understand the upcoming capital needs of the Company
• Prepare external financing materials, including financing presentations for debt financings, (first and second mortgages) and investment information memoranda for equity financings
• Assist with sourcing and structuring debt financing for acquisitions and development projects
• Assist with the management of the debt portfolio for our income properties
• Contribute to the timely completion of real estate acquisition and financing due diligence processes/requirements

You have

• A University degree or diploma in Real Estate, Business or Finance
• A minimum 7 years of experience in the Finance sector, with at least 5 years in the Real Estate industry
• Experience financing residential developments and/or commercial properties
• An understanding of real estate fundamentals and valuation principles, and experience working with proformas and underwriting deals
• A proven track record of deal execution, including preparation of financing presentations and negotiation of loan terms/agreements
• A well-developed network of contacts in the lending community
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and advanced level Excel skills

Salary range

• $150,000 - $170,000 per year estimated, based on experience.
