This job is in CDPQ Fixed Income subsidiary.Reporting to the Director, Real Estate Finance , the Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Real Estate Finance Team in meeting CDPQ\xe2\x80\x99s construction loan mortgage investment objectives and their ongoing monitoring and administration in both Canada and the US. The successful candidate for this demanding position must be able to operate independently and as part of the team in a high volume and fast-pace environment, requiring handling multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.This involves:completing property underwriting analysis (including market, project budget, cash flow analyses, valuation).preparing monthly and semi-annual reporting submissions.assisting with the drafting of approval documentations.What you will doUnderwrite new opportunities and assist in the preparation of comprehensive narrative and analytical approval documentation;Complete due diligence including market reviews, condominium sales reviews, project budget reviews, lease reviews, borrower and guarantor financial statement analysis and review of property reports (appraisal, environmental and geotechnical);Asset management and completion of periodic reviews for the existing mortgage portfolio, due diligence for loan closings and update mortgage administration system;Processing and obtaining of the necessary internal approvals for various borrower requests (amendments to loan structure (i.e. sources and uses, loan term extensions, partial discharges, etc.);Preparation/validation of various internal reports;Assist in drafting of term sheets and commitment letters.Who you areYou stand out by your:AmbitionAccountabilityOpennessCollaborationExcellent inter-personal skills and commitment to learn and willingness to contribute to the team;Self-starter and independent learner;Strong analytical, research and quantitative skills;Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;Ability to work on several concurrent projects with strict deadlines;Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.Outstanding organizational and time management skillsWhat you bringBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, Business Administration or Real Estate is an assetRecent graduate or will be graduating soon;Working knowledge of the commercial real estate sector (across Canada);An understanding of real estate, its development and valuation;Excellent Excel skills;Proficiency in Outlook, Word;General understanding of loan documentation;An understanding of underwriting from lender\xe2\x80\x99s perspective;Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, relationship managers and credit managers;Excellent knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken

• Frequent spoken and written interactions in English with external partners based outside Qu\xc3\xa9bec such as service providers, law firms, peers, bankers, brokerage firms, credit analysis firms and credit agencies, etc.
