The role of Director, Prevention Programs and Services, is an opportunity for a highly focused and experienced leader to help shape workplace health and safety culture across British Columbia.
Reporting to the Head of Prevention Services, the Director of Prevention Programs and Services plays a key role on our senior leadership team. They engage in strategic planning, decision-making, and the implementation of key initiatives to reduce the risk of workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities in B.C.
The director is accountable for developing and implementing effective strategies aligned with the division\xe2\x80\x99s goals. This will include expanding services for worker engagement, spearheading safety culture and leadership initiatives, and ensuring quality assurance of credentialing services, such as the certificate of recognition program.
How you\'ll make a difference: You\'ll cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders across B.C. to help ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work from your home in B.C., your local WorkSafeBC office and other offices across B.C., as required. Preferred locations are Richmond, Kelowna, and Victoria.
