The role of Director, Prevention Field Services, Occupational Health is an opportunity for a highly focused and experienced leader to help shape workplace health and safety culture across British Columbia.
Reporting to the Head of Prevention Services, youll play a key role on our senior leadership team. Youll engage in strategic planning, decision-making, and the implementation of initiatives to reduce the risk of workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities in B.C.
The Director is accountable for developing and implementing effective strategies aligned with the divisions goals. This includes bringing vision and leadership to education, consultation, and enforcement activities with a focus on occupational health and hygiene matters. Youll apply your background and expert understanding of occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and policies to engage employers to reduce workplace risks while expanding services for worker engagement.
Howll make a difference: Youll oversee WorkSafeBCs occupational health and hygiene programs and drive our efforts to ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
Where youll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, youll work from your home in B.C., your local WorkSafeBC office and other offices across B.C. as required. Preferred locations are Richmond, Kelowna, and Victoria.
