The role of Director, Prevention Field Services, Psychological Health & Safety is an opportunity for a highly focused and experienced leader to play a critical role in shaping workplace psychological safety culture across the province.
Reporting to the Head of Prevention Services, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a key role on our senior leadership team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll engage in strategic planning, decision-making, and the implementation of initiatives to reduce the risk of workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities in B.C.
The Director is accountable for developing and implementing effective strategies aligned with the division\xe2\x80\x99s goal. This includes engaging employers, workers, and other stakeholders to reduce mental health risks and establish and maintain psychologically safe workplaces. You\xe2\x80\x99ll lead our education, consultation, and enforcement activities to promote sustainable compliance and effective management of workplace mental health risks. You\xe2\x80\x99ll apply your background and understanding of the challenges posed by workplace mental health with your motivation to bring solutions to this important health and safety issue. You\xe2\x80\x99ll lead the development of programs and resources and foster cooperative and collaborative relationships between employers and workers regarding workplace psychological safety.
How you\'ll make a difference: You\xe2\x80\x99ll oversee WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s psychological safety initiatives and drive our service delivery efforts to ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work from your home in B.C., your local WorkSafeBC office and other offices across B.C. as required. Preferred locations are Richmond, Kelowna, and Victoria.
