As the pharmacy zone lead, you are a member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team (PSLT) and have the opportunity to influence the future of pharmacy services as you collaborate with peers throughout the province, and lead and support initiatives at a provincial level to achieve pharmacy\'s strategic priorities. Within Central Zone, you will establish and maintain positive relationships with physicians and zone leadership as you collaborate and establish coalitions to support the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The Director, Pharmacy Services, Central Zone is responsible and accountable for leading an operational team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Pharmacy Services in support of the vision, mission, and business plan of AHS. Roles Include: Strategic Planning: Accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of overall strategic and operational plans to support patient-focused care within the Central Zone. Operational Leadership: Set the framework for program delivery and be responsible for the operationalization and monitoring of provincially integrated services throughout the Central Zone. Relationship Management: Interaction and collaboration with internal and external partners and participants to influence the direction of operations and service delivery in the Central Zone. People Management: Ensuring the strategic use of human resources in providing the most effective and efficient delivery of patient care. Change Leadership: Ability to initiate, implement and support new or modified approaches, practices, and processes in the organization. Resource Management: Managing the overall operating and capital budgets for Pharmacy Services, Central Zone consistent with the plans and general guidelines established by the AHS Executive Leadership Team. Quality Management: Promoting an environment that fosters quality improvement and a culture of safety for staff and patients in the Central Zone.
