Overview:

The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for leading a team of high performing Sales Managers and individual contributors within an assigned region or territory. The DOS will develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve, exceed revenue and profit goals in collaboration with the Vice President of Field Sales as well as the Vice Presidents of Operations. The DOS is also responsible for recruiting, developing, and coaching new and existing sales team members to stay staffed and meet productivity goals and metrics.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Lead a high activity sales model with multiple sales managers across an assigned regional territory.
  • Span of control includes sales managers and their respective sales teams of roughly 100+ individual contributors.
  • Responsible for delivering sales plan through disciplined activity execution, full staffing, and sales productivity improvement.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan, working with Vice President of Field Sales as well as the Vice Presidents of Operations, to ensure that revenue and profit goals are met.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and support new and existing Sales Managers as well as sales team members.
  • Collaborate internally to drive best practices through the organization.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Successful track record of managing through the use of formal weekly activity guidelines and technology-based activities measurement system, and a targeted account strategy.
  • Executive presence and proficiency in consultative selling skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Competitive spirit, strong leadership skills, and a track record of accomplishments required.
Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
  • Field based position.
  • Opportunity to work remotely.
  • Approximately 50-75% travel.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years managing the sales process and team in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contact management databases.
