The Director of Pricing, Procurement, and Business Strategy, International Freight, working with VP IF, and SR. VP BD, is responsible for identifying new market and service opportunities, creating related product offerings and developing strategies to strengthen the company's competitive position. The position will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and direction by analyzing market trends, assessing competitive threats and opportunities, and developing strategies that support the division's pricing and business development initiatives. This role ensures the achievement of corporate business development and growth objectives by leveraging industry networks to secure competitive rates, managing strategic carrier agreements, collaborating with our China office to promote campaigns that enable us to achieve our growth initiatives.



Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership:



Develop and execute comprehensive international pricing strategies fully aligned with corporate objectives, market conditions, and sales priorities, ensuring pricing supports both revenue growth and client acquisition. Define and lead Omnitrans' global freight pricing strategy to support company revenue and profitability goals and long-term commercial objectives, in close collaboration with the business development team to maximize competitive positioning. Lead and direct rate and contract negotiations with ocean carriers, NVOCCs, air freight providers, truckers, warehouse, and other strategic partners, ensuring agreements strengthen both pricing competitiveness and sales success. Maintain a proactive understanding of global trade dynamics, freight market trends, and geopolitical developments to inform pricing direction and strategic decision-making. Develop and implement pricing analysis processes to identify customer segments and optimal prices and competitive posture according to market trends. Benchmark industry and competitor quote emission standards and ensure that we comply with those standards. Partner with senior leadership, including Business Development team, to define margin enhancement initiatives and long-term pricing frameworks that are sustainable and growth focused. Guide benchmarking initiatives to position the company competitively across core international lanes and customer segments, and target markets identified jointly with Sales. Maintain strategic relationships with logistics service providers and ensure performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Oversee the end-to-end pricing and quoting process, including rate uploads, cost modeling, and client-specific pricing configurations in ERP system, ensuring timely and accurate responses to Sales and client requests. Review prices on a regular basis to ensure competitive balance. Ensure all pricing workflows are efficient, accurate, and align with service-level expectations, enabling Sales to present competitive, reliable quotes. Continuously identify and implement process improvements and digital enhancements to streamline operations. Lead the development of pricing performance dashboards and ensure ongoing reporting on key pricing and KPIs but not limited to the below and report analysis findings to management.: Forecasting & Budgeting Divisional Volume Stats Carrier/3PL Performance Pricing / Quotations Performance Market Competitiveness / Wins & Losses Client Stats and Performance Divisional Margin Performance Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, finance, and IT to ensure pricing strategies are well-integrated and executed. Coach and develop pricing and commercial teams to enhance analytical capabilities and business acumen, and responsiveness to market and Sales needs. Partner with executive steering groups to assess performance, uncover market opportunities, and refine pricing methodologies.

Team Management responsibilities:



Lead and develop the pricing & procurement team by defining roles, optimizing resources, coaching talent, and driving performance in alignment with Omnitrans' vision of Excellence and Caring. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture that ensures service standards, operational consistency, and strong cross-functional partnerships. Communicate the department's strategic direction in a way that connects each individual's contributions -- and the contributions of partner teams such as Sales, Operations, and Finance -- to Omnitrans' broader vision and the pillars of Excellence and Caring.

What you Bring :



University degree 15+ years of experience in the freight forwarding industry (Import, Export, Air and Ocean) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a management role. Highly motivated and business-oriented individual to lead our international freight division. Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of International Business and trading practices. Ability to negotiate and build strong trade relationships Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent interpersonal abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively. Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop mutually beneficial (win/win) solutions. Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual (English and French; oral and written) Availability to travel oversea few times a year.
