Pancap Pharma Inc. is a leader in specialty contract manufacturing of pharmaceutical dosage forms. The company began its contract manufacturing operations in January of 1994 and since then has translated experience into quality production for a wide range of clients. From concept to full package delivery, we have the experience and commitment to meet the needs of even the most unique clients. We offer a wide range of manufacturing and support capabilities including capsule fabrication, compounding of non-sterile liquids, packaging, labelling, regulatory affairs, testing and quality assurance. The products we manufacture are then shipped around the world. Quality is the cornerstone upon which Pancap has built its foundation. Our Quality Assurance System was developed in order to ensure the production of safe and effective products in compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations, industry standards and our client\'s specifications/marketing requirements. We are growing our operations with a brand-new state of the art facility in Windsor, Ontario and we are looking for a Director of Operations who would be instrumental in the execution of this new facility, to join our Leadership Team. Reporting to and in conjunction with the President, assist with the day to day management of the Operations group including, but not limited to, Granulation, Encapsulation Packaging, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Maintenance & Sanitation while maintaining high levels of team engagement.

  • Collaborate with senior management in the development of strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity while implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Responsible for the enforcement of Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, policies and programs, as well as ensuring the proper storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products in a safe and secure environment for our employees.
  • Plan, monitor, analyze and supervise key metrics for the day-to-day performance of operations and warehouse activities (e.g. inventory control, storage of materials, shipping, receiving) to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training & development, coaching and takes correction action where appropriate.
  • Identification of potential new markets and long-term growth opportunities and the identification of potential risks with respect to same and the development of reasonable and prudent strategies for exploring such new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals, customer liaison with production issues, where appropriate and when approved by the President.
  • Assist with the development of relationships with potential stakeholders and the entering into of contractual relationships with other businesses dealing in pharmaceuticals at the wholesale or manufacturing levels, Specialists, governmental agencies or other stakeholders involved in health care related businesses where appropriate and when approved by the President.
  • Actively participate, analyze and implement capital expenditures.
  • Actively analyze on-going expenses within the areas of responsibility to ensure that budgets are met and take corrective action where variances occur.
  • Ensures that all equipment, buildings and property are maintained in accordance with Company standards and that security standards are followed.
  • Ensure that health and safety practices are followed within the workplace d through on-going monitoring of health and safety programs and audits; provision of all equipment, material and protective devices; appointing / ensuring managers are competent in Health and Safety.
Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical environment
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Leadership capacity
  • Must have Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with automation an asset
  • Strong communication and analytical skills (Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to establish and analyze business metrics to effectively set targets and standards of performance
  • Strong organization and tactical planning skills
  • Ability to take initiative, strong work ethic, behave with a sense of urgency
  • Strong problem solving & decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new situations, as well as new and changing processes, programs and services
