Job Description

We have an opening for a Director of Operations to join our team!This position will supervise the execution of multiple projects, from custom XM vehicles to trade show booths to world-class visitor attractions and immersive environments.You are experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about custom fabrication with proven experience managing detailers, project managers, millworkers and metal fabricators, warehouse staff, and installation teams and sub-contractors.Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills are a must.As the leader of our operations, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:ResponsibilitiesSenior Management Team

  • Participate in senior management level discussions regarding the strategic development, growth, and future planning of the organization
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enforcement of corporate policy and process
  • Work collaboratively with other directors to troubleshoot issues and generate solutions
  • Motivate, encourage, and inspire all employees to achieve greatness
Operational Growth & Profitability
  • Full accountability for the successes and failures of all Operations, which includes a strong command of all departments (Project Management, Detailing & Engineering, Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Field Services, and Facility)
  • Responsible for the profit & loss (P&L) achieved within the Operations departments
  • Provide the CEO with monthly reports on production capacity, cost-saving measures, and personnel requirements
  • Work with the CEO to research, review, and purchase capital investments to ensure optimum equipment inventory requirements to facilitate current and future production demands are met
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, manage, and challenge the Operations team
  • Set team and individual key performance indicators (KPIs) or success metrics to aspire for and allow for the business to scale-up
  • Mentor and coach direct reports
  • Work with HR on hiring, training, employee relations, performance reviews, and employee incentives
  • Keep true to the Juiceworks company culture and values: teamwork, pride in our work, and happy work and client relationships
  • Represent the company in meetings with key external clients and suppliers when required
Health & Safety
  • Lead by example in terms of operational health and safety policies and procedures and ensure all staff are abiding by all health and safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Ensure the regular maintenance and safety checks of all shop machines, equipment, and tools
Operations
  • Work with the Dir. Of Sales, Dir. Of Special Projects, and Estimating to assist with the development of project estimates by providing accurate estimations of personnel hours, material requirements, and fabrication methodology
  • Attend Project Kick-Off Meetings to understand upcoming project requirements fully and to schedule resources properly
  • Review all project drawings, specifications, timeframes, and estimates to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project scope
  • Utilize scheduling software to thoughtfully plan and schedule all aspects of every project in conjunction with Dir. Of Sales and Dir. Of Special Projects to ensure every project is completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure tasks are appropriately distributed to individuals based on skill, experience, and workload
  • Assist the Detailing & Engineering Manager and Production Manager in finding solutions to project challenges and issues
  • Inspect work to ensure accuracy, functionality, and quality
Vehicles & Facility
  • Ensure the roadworthiness of Juiceworks fleet vehicles by ensuring they are serviced regularly, and safety checks are conducted daily
  • Maintain a current list of all client and Juiceworks-owned project vehicles to ensure the accuracy of storage invoices sent to clients
  • Maintain a current list of all facility contractors ensuring MSAs are current and regular services are conducted as per contracts
  • Address building maintenance issues as they occur
About You
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in Project Management, Production Management, or Operations
  • Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in a custom fabrication shop
  • Proven experience working on trade show exhibits, experiential activation, immersive environment, or visitor attraction projects Confident in your detailing/engineering and fabrication knowledge, with the personality to inspire your teams while still being humble enough to accept, analyze, and grow based on critical feedback
  • Self-motivated, a natural problem solver and detail-minded with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Driven by curiosity and passion for creativity; keeps a finger on the pulse of our business sectors
