THE ROLE



The

Director of Marketing

will be the brand architect, growth driver, and consumer advocate across Temple's portfolio. As a member of the leadership team, you will shape brand strategy, champion innovation, and deliver breakthrough marketing that fuels growth by

building awareness, driving trial, and expanding market presence

. You'll deepen consumer love and position Temple as Canada's leading house of better-for-you beverage brands.

This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution -- ensuring each brand maintains its unique identity while leveraging Temple's shared resources to accelerate growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO?



Brand & Portfolio Leadership



Develop and execute a

cohesive marketing vision and strategy

across Thirsty Buddha, Rise, and future brands. Act as the

guardian of brand equity

, ensuring consistent positioning, tone, and identity across all touchpoints. Partner with Sales and cross-functional leaders to build integrated brand and commercial plans that deliver against growth objectives.

Consumer Insight & Innovation



Lead the discovery and application of

consumer insights

to guide innovation, campaigns, and engagement strategies. Oversee and support a

3-year innovation pipeline

that drives incremental growth across both Thirsty Buddha and Rise. Serve as the

Chief Consumer-Love Officer

, fostering meaningful connections that drive loyalty and advocacy.

Integrated Marketing & Media



Orchestrate

omnichannel campaigns

that integrate digital, social, influencer, PR, shopper, and experiential marketing. Drive

brand awareness and household penetration

, ensuring our brands reach new consumers and win in competitive categories. Design and execute

trial-driving programs

(sampling, promotional activations, retail partnerships, influencer seeding) to expand consumer base and accelerate velocity. Leverage

e-commerce, DTC, and emerging digital platforms

to create disruptive consumer experiences and measurable sales growth. Oversee

shopper marketing and in-store activations

(POS, promotions, trade programs) to convert shoppers at the point of sale. Use

consumer research, Nielsen/IRI data, and digital analytics

to continuously optimize marketing performance.

Commercial Impact & Analytics



Own and manage the

marketing budget and P&L responsibilities

, ensuring ROI driven decision making. Partner with Sales to link

awareness and trial-driving initiatives

directly to commercial outcomes (ACV, velocity, ROI). ranslate data into actionable insights that inform future

brand-building and trial-driving strategies

WHAT YOU BRING



Education & Expertise

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field (MBA a plus). 5-7+ years of progressive marketing/brand management within CPG, ideally beverages.

Leadership Track Record

- At least 5+ years building and developing teams, with the ability to inspire, coach, and elevate talent.

Brand Storytelling Mastery

- Expertise in building and communicating compelling narratives that resonate with consumers.

Player-Coach Mindset

- Equally comfortable

strategizing at the 30,000-foot level

and

rolling up your sleeves

to get things done alongside your team.

Collaboration Skills

- Exceptional communicator and cross-functional partner with strong influence skills.

Bilingualism

- Fluency in

English and French

preferred, to effectively lead in a Montreal-based environment and engage with partners nationwide.
