The Opportunity
IMTT is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Marketing to build our brand and drive our growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy that enhances our reputation, drives enrollment for our training programs, and attracts corporate and research partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a B2B marketing expert who is passionate about technology and education. You will translate complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions, positioning IMTT as the definitive authority in the machine tool and manufacturing technology space.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
Develop, execute, and optimize a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with IMTT's organizational goals (e.g., enrollment targets, partnership development, brand awareness).
Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing marketing team (e.g., content, digital, events).
Define and refine IMTT's brand positioning, messaging, and voice to resonate with target audiences (e.g., manufacturing professionals, engineers, corporate training managers, technical students).
Manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, audience needs, and new opportunities.
Demand & Lead Generation
Design and oversee all lead generation campaigns to drive enrollment for open courses, certificate programs, and custom corporate training.
Manage IMTT's complete digital footprint, including website (SEO/UX), social media (especially LinkedIn), and paid advertising (SEM/PPC).
Implement and manage marketing automation workflows (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and email nurture campaigns to move leads through the funnel.
Content & Brand Marketing
Lead IMTT's content strategy, establishing the Institute as the leading thought leader in machine tool technology.
Oversee the creation of high-impact technical and promotional content, including white papers, case studies, technical articles, webinars, videos, and program brochures.
Ensure all marketing collateral and communications are professional, on-brand, and effective.
Events & Partnerships
Plan and manage IMTT's presence at key industry trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Develop and execute IMTT-hosted events, such as technology showcases, open houses, and expert-led webinars.
Collaborate with key industry partners (e.g., technology manufacturers, software providers, industry associations) on co-marketing initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing activities (e.g., leads, conversion rates, cost-per-acquisition, website traffic, brand engagement).
Prepare and present regular reports on campaign performance, marketing ROI, and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Bachelor's degree
in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive marketing experience
, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven B2B marketing experience
is essential, ideally within manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering, or technical education sectors.
Demonstrable experience developing and executing successful
lead generation strategies
for high-value services or programs.
Strong expertise in
digital marketing
, including SEO/SEM, marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
Exceptional ability to translate
complex technical concepts
into clear, compelling marketing messages.
