Job Summary

Our Water Sector is seeking a Director, Linear to join our team in our Vaughan or Whitby office. In this role and with over 15+ years of experience, you will be responsible for business development/proposals, strategy development, project management for key assignments, and supporting and leading a team that provides the planning, detailed design, and construction phase services of linear water and wastewater projects in Canadian and International markets, with a specific focus on the Ontario market. In general, the types of projects will vary but may include Condition Assessments, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, Preliminary Designs, Detailed Designs, and Construction Phase Services. The types of projects as a minimum may include water distributions and transmission systems, collection systems, rehabilitation of either watermains or sewers, trenchless design, associated road reconstruction/rehabilitation, and construction projects.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Identify new business opportunities, build and maintain key customer relationships and assist with increasing current market position. Lead strategic business development and proposal pursuits. Directly involved in the preparation of key proposals (written and financial), and supporting the team on all proposal activity.

Manage and actively participate in a portfolio of linear projects.

Provide direction to the design teams throughout all phases of a project. Review drawings and engineering reports.

Liaise with the various municipal/utility/approval agencies.

Responsible for the financial management of the Linear Team\xe2\x80\x99s suite of projects.

Participate in and drive company-wide quality initiatives and improvements by facilitating departmental-level quality plans and procedures.

Mentor intermediate and senior team members.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Consideration given to working on opportunities outside of the GTA, Ontario, across Canada, and Internationally.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).

Minimum of 15+ years of municipal infrastructure design for Public Sector projects in Southern Ontario & Canada.

Familiarity with local planning/approval process.

PMP Certification is a preferred asset.

Working knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Well-developed and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Creative, strategic, and innovative thinker with sound technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients.

Ability to effectively multi-task and work in fast-paced, highly charged environment.
