Director of Care, RN – Grande Prairie, AB
Seniors Care Home with a blend of Long-term Care and Assisted Living
Seeking a skilled and experienced, Director of Care, RN with a passion for building teams that provide exceptional compassionate support to seniors and their families. 
You are Director of Care RN with a mix of integrity, energy, intelligence with a passion for helping others by leading the care team of RN’s, LPNs and Care Aide’s through a shared vision of exceptional and purposeful direct patient care.

Necessary Skills:
Your Super Powers as a Director of Care, RN include being able to engage their clinical care team as decision-making partners, coach and support them to grow professionally and provide them with the resources and information they need to provide high-quality care.
The Director of Care, RN must be able to apply geriatric and nursing knowledge to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure that nursing practice in the care home is caring, compassionate and evidence based.
Director of Care, RN must be a skilled critical thinker, problem solver, and leader able to implement quality assurance and improvement programs and be able to coordinate efforts with other disciplines.
Director of Care, RN must establish standards of conduct and hold their staff accountable to these standards, ensure their staff’s competency through oversight of professional development and education programs, provide support, manage conflict and act as a role model.
Lastly, the Director of Care, RN must be adept dealing with regulatory issues, staffing and scheduling, addressing resident and family concerns, attending to conflicts, overseeing nursing care and managing costs.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) with 3 to 5 years Director of Care / Nursing Leadership experience within Long-term Residential Care
Must be eligible for registration as an Registered Nurse (RN) with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
