Position: Director of Human Resources Location: Newfoundland & Labrador (with travel) Reporting Structure: Reports to the Canadian Adventure Charters Board of Directors Job Duties and Responsibilities: As the Director of Human Resources, you will be the most senior management position in the corporation, responsible for:

  • Building and managing portfolios for public trading corporations, private entities, and non-profits within the marine industry.
  • Leading initiatives for Strategic Economic Green/Blue Organic Development, new business start-ups, global networking, and compliance with Canadian and International employment laws.
  • Managing a diverse range of responsibilities, including marketing and sales plans, branding and management, digital marketing, advertising campaigns, event marketing, data management, public relations, and content creation.
  • Developing and maintaining a positive team culture, corporate brand image, and strong external communication with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Director of Marketing, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Financial Executive & President of Business Development & Operations to align marketing strategies with overall company goals.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in marine mega luxury port development, super luxury yachting, submersible industry, marina development real estate, and marine research.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resources management or related field.
  • Strong interest, passion, and experience in the ocean, nature, adventure, expeditions, underwater exploration, marine research and education.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration supporting business strategies.
  • HR certification from HRCI (aPHR, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Proven experience leading large-scale HR programs with a focus on organizational effectiveness and talent development.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR strategic support for marine industry units, including luxury explorer yachting, submersibles, ocean adventures, expeditions, marine research, charter management brokers, investor relations and commercial sales teams.
  • Champion an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture, fostering positive employee relations and talent development.
  • Monitor key HR performance indicators and collaborate with global HR teams for companywide initiatives.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, operate with high ethical standards, and provide HR-related guidance to management and employees.
  • Support community events and promote the profile of the corporation.
Working Conditions: Physical Demands: The Director of HR will spend long hours sitting, using office equipment and computers, with occasional light lifting of supplies. Some travel may be required, and flexible hours may be necessary. Environmental Conditions: The Director of HR may manage multiple projects simultaneously and could be interrupted frequently due to competing priorities.
