To find out more, click here: https://theevergreensfoundation.com/about/ The Role We are currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to ensure; \xe2\x80\x9cOur people are cared for so they can excel in their roles\xe2\x80\x9d by generating employee capability and satisfaction, implementing a robust HR system along with creating a positive and conducive work culture. You will act as a key member of the Executive Team while working closely with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO). The key focus areas will be:
  • Partnering with the Executive and Leadership team while acting as a strategic partner for HR-related issues.
  • Managing a full suite of HR and Payroll functions for approx. 180 employees (unionized and non-unionized) working in 5 different locations.
  • Ensuring the alignment of the HR strategy with the Mission, Vision, and Strategy of the Foundation.
  • Leading the HR and Payroll team while ensuring compliance with the Collective Agreement, Employment legislation, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Providing sound advice and coaching to leaders/managers on various people management issues.
  • Managing all of the matters linked with Employee Relations and Industrial Relations e.g., employee complaints, workplace incidents, policy breaches, misconduct, workplace investigations, poor performance, union relations, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Maintaining strong and positive working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and driving all HR and Payroll needs, at both operational and strategic levels by proactively supporting the delivery of all the activities (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, payroll management, probation reviews, talent & performance management, training & development, compensation, offboarding, etc.).
Ideal candidate will bring:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least five years of HR management experience in both unionized and non-unionized work environments would be valuable.
  • Well-versed in Canadian employment law and CPHR designation is preferred.
  • Significant experience in a similar role working as a part of an Executive/Leadership team.
  • Ability to influence through strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in developing work culture improvement initiatives that have positively impacted employee experiences.
  • A proven track record of being resourceful, delivering results, and following through on objectives.
  • People-first and agile mindset with adaptable communication skills and an engaging style.
