Our client, a recognized leader in the real estate and property management space, is seeking a Director of Finance to join their growing team and collaborate closely with their VP of Finance on a full-time, permanent basis! In this hands-on, strategic role, you will lead the financial operations of the property management division, including reporting, compliance, and entity setup, while providing insights to guide executive decision-making. Partnering closely with investors, external advisors, and senior leadership, you'll ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and transparent. We're seeking a polished, professional, and forward-thinking leader who can drive financial success and make a meaningful impact across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and presenting financial results across multiple entities, providing insights into portfolio performances and key metrics
Leading budgeting and forecasting, cash flow projections and investor return analysis
Overseeing accounting operations and ensuring compliance with IFRS/ASPE and regulatory standards
Managing the setup, reporting, compliance and investor communications for REIT and LP structures
Supervising property revenue, expenses, and tenant chargebacks, aligning daily operations with investor reporting needs
Mentoring team members, leading process improvements, and acting as a key liaison with external partners and stakeholders

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA designation preferred
7-10+ years of progressive finance experience in fund environments
Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and managing teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in real estate, property management, or REIT is considered an asset
Compensation:
$120,000 - $140,000 annual salary range
