We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategic planning. Based in Elmira, Ontario, this role will oversee critical financial functions, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and meets its financial goals. You will play a key role in streamlining processes, managing compliance, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.

• Oversee all accounting functions, including month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Manage costing processes to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Implement and enhance financial systems and processes to improve reporting and data accuracy.

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support management decision-making based on financial analysis.

• Collaborate with external auditors during the year-end audit to ensure smooth and accurate reporting.

• Supervise the preparation of financial reports and statements to meet organizational and stakeholder requirements.

• Ensure the effective use of accounting software systems to streamline financial operations.

• Monitor and evaluate financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate potential issues.

• Lead and mentor the finance and IT teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software systems and financial tools.
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and accounting functions.
• Proven ability to oversee month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide data-driven insights.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage and develop teams effectively.
• Experience collaborating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
