Reference Number: 11174 The opportunity: We are looking for a Director, Engagement to join Nova Scotia Power\xe2\x80\x99s Strategy and Engagement team. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy and Engagement, you will be responsible for leading Nova Scotia Power\xe2\x80\x99s Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Roadmap. This role requires constructive support of other senior leaders and executives who are leading important external and internal engagement initiatives. Key elements of the role include: With a passion for collaboration and for supporting the success of team members and other Nova Scotians:
  • You will work closely with Executive Leadership team and diverse stakeholders to provide guidance and structure in the development and implementation of NSP\xe2\x80\x99s engagement goals and objectives.
  • Seek out collaborative opportunities for NSP to be active in the communities it serves, oversee, and advise on external stakeholder engagement/management and potential partnership development.
  • Create and present materials for internal and external stakeholders related to engagement or strategic initiatives.
  • You will implement key engagement tactics and organize & lead training and best practices across the business.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for disciplined and consistent interaction with key external partners, business leaders, customers, Mi\xe2\x80\x99kmaq representatives and others.
  • You will also contribute to the development and execution of Nova Scotia Power business strategy and work closely with the Corporate Communications team.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.   • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, communications and public relations, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years working in community or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with broad public engagement activities in large public facing business or volunteer organizations.
  • You bring business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship skills and an ability to work well with people at various levels within the organization.
  • You are an innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines, exceptional prioritization, and organizational skills.
